A visible laser used to study semiconductor properties close-up. Laser light in the visible range is processed for use in the testing of quantum properties in materials in the lab of Carlos Silva, a professor at Georgia Tech’s School of Chemistry and Biochemistry and co-lead on a recent study where researchers uncovered eccentric physics behind next-generation semiconducting materials' potential to transform lighting technology and photovoltaics.
