Structures that 'morph' underwater
Researchers at the Morphing Matter Lab at Carnegie Mellon University have developed a method where they assemble hydrogel beads onto paper substrates that self-actuate -- or morph -- into structures underwater. These morphed structures could potentially be used as things like artificial reefs in the future.
