Vortex ring in superfluid helium

A simulated vortex ring structure (reddish half circle) in superfluid helium. The structure was generated using a model that accurately reproduces the observed vortex ring motion in super fluid helium. This research was performed at NSF's National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.
