Students discuss protein purification

Students discuss protein purification as part of a research curriculum at Montana State University

Students Eric Shephard and Eric Larson discuss protein purification in a chemistry department cold room, part of the Complex Biological Systems (CBS) multidisciplinary research curriculum at Montana State University.

CBS curriculum uses both traditional lab protocols and computer modeling techniques to solve complex biological questions. CBS is a coordinated effort involving eight departments at Montana State, including Chemistry and Biochemistry, Plant Sciences, Microbiology, Cell Biology and Neurosciences, Math, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Veterinary Molecular Biology.

This work was supported by the Montana EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) project under National Science Foundation EPSCoR grant 99-72824. (Year of image: 2000)
