Communicating Engineering and Technology to the General Public: William S. Hammack

Engineering professor and radio commentator Bill Hammack discusses the importance of explaining engineering and technology to the general public. He describes his daily public radio series and his goal of enhancing "engineering awareness." He explains why we need an "informed citizenry" -- a technologically literate citizenry -- and the role outreach efforts such as his radio series can play in bringing that about.
