Financial markets show confidence in firms that improve their environmental performance.

According to researchers, companies go green for any number of reasons, including changes in environmental regulations, pressures from customers or because management believes it is the right thing to do. Decisions to go green can result in more willingness by financial markets to invest in green firms, thereby helping them improve their bottom line.
