Fabricating Fabric: Nylon

This video explains the history of nylon, the first synthetic fiber developed for mass production, and explains polymers, polymerization, amide links and polyamides. It includes a demonstration of the Nylon Rope Trick: making nylon fiber in a lab beaker.
