Some hunting dogs can help harvest game at rates comparable to hunting with projectile weapons.

With talented hunting dogs as companions, hunters exhibit return rates that compare favorably to hunting with projectile weapons, including modern firearms, says a new report appearing in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
