NMS awardee Gabor Somorjai describes his career and the important field of environmental chemistry.

Gabor A. Somorjai, 2001 National Medal of Science Awardee, discusses his contributions to the world of molecular studies and the development of new techniques that served as foundations of new surface technologies. He says dreams were at the origin of his discoveries. He identifies the development of green chemistry as necessary to address important environmental challenges today.
