Announced in June, Kavli laureates receive their prizes during Kavli Week in September.

The Kavli Prize is awarded every two years by the Kavli Foundation to scientists "whose discoveries have dramatically expanded human understanding in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience."
