Lagoon nebula imaged by Gemini South Telescope

A portion of the Lagoon nebula imaged using the Gemini South Telescope with the Gemini Multiple-Object Spectrograph. The GMOS enables long- and multi-slit spectroscopy and imaging over a 5.5 square arcminute field of view.
