The autonomous van "Alice" is Caltech's competitor for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Grand Challenge, a race that features autonomous ground vehicles. The challenge demonstrates how the U.S. military safely conducts supply missions in cities with heavy traffic.
