UI researcher studies evolution on the molecular level

chemistry graphic University of Iowa (UI) researchers describe the evolution of various forms of the enzyme "dihydrofolate reductase" as it occurred from bacteria to humans in a paper that appears in the Dec. 13 issue of the Journal of Biological Chemistry. The findings may prove useful to scientists in the design of future drugs and catalysts. Full Story
