December 13, 2013
University of Iowa (UI) researchers describe the evolution of various forms of the enzyme "dihydrofolate reductase" as it occurred from bacteria to humans in a paper that appears in the Dec. 13 issue of the Journal of Biological Chemistry. The findings may prove useful to scientists in the design of future drugs and catalysts.
