New method for tapping vast plant pharmacopeia to make more effective drugs
April 14, 2017
Vanderbilt University geneticists have developed an effective method for identifying the plant genes that produce the chemical ammunition plants use to protect themselves from predation. The revolutionary new approach is based on the well-established observation that plants produce these compounds in response to specific environmental conditions.
