April 25, 2017
SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantee Conference, Atlanta, Georgia - June 4-June 7
Approximately 250 to 300 members of startups and small businesses who have received NSF Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II funding attend the NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantee Conference annually. The event offers companies the ability to showcase their technology and network with small businesses, potential investors and strategic partners. Grantees will also attend a variety of educational and informational sessions appropriate for early-stage companies with a focus on partnerships, fundraising, business development and intellectual property.
PFI Grantee Meeting, Atlanta, Georgia - June 4-June 7
For the first time, grantees from both Partnership for Innovation (PFI) programs – Accelerating Innovation Research (AIR) and Building Innovation Capacity (BIC) – will gather with SBIR/STTR Phase II grantees to showcase their work and learn more about best practices in technology commercialization.
Each SBIR/STTR Phase II and PFI grantee will be assigned a space during the “Technology Showcase” held in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Atrium Ballroom on the evening of June 5 and June 6. Grantees will have the opportunity to network, discuss their work and demonstrate their prototype. The event is open to the public and NSF has invited a number of technology scouts from industry and potential investors and strategic partners to attend the conference and learn more about NSF funded grantees.
