NSB member Victor McCrary on STEM and U.S. workforce

National Science Board (NSB) member Dr. Victor R. McCrary, vice president, Division of Research and Economic Development, Morgan State University will testify before the House Committee on Science, Space, & Technology’s Subcommittee on Research & Technology.  Dr. McCrary is the chair of the NSB’s Task Force on the Skilled Technical Workforce.

 

The title of the hearing is “Mentoring, Training, and Apprenticeships for STEM Education and Careers.” This hearing will explore how participation in mentoring, training and apprenticeship opportunities impact science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students and may assist in addressing the growing need for a diverse and technically trained STEM workforce.
