New CAREER Solicitation and Single Agency Deadline
December 20, 2019
NSF announces a single deadline of July 27, 2020, for its Faculty Early Career Development Program (NSF 20-525) for all NSF directorates. The new solicitation also includes a description of NSF's Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).
The agency-wide CAREER Program offers NSF's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty, who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research. Each year NSF selects nominees for the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) from among the most meritorious recent CAREER awardees. See details about both CAREER and PECASE in the solicitation.
