1) Speed Coaching with NSF and Federal Funders (In-Person Only)

Monday, August 14, 2023, 9am –11am PT

Description: Meet one-on-one with program directors for 15-minute to discuss your proposals or other related topics.

2) NSF and Chemistry Federal Funders Townhall (HYBRID)

Monday, August 14, 2023, 1pm – 4pm PT (4pm-7pm Eastern)

Description: The National Science Foundation Division of Chemistry will host a special hybrid meeting with other federal funders in Chemistry, including AFOSR, NASA, NIH/NIGMS, DOE, The Dreyfus Foundation and ACS as well as other NSF Divisions. The event will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 in the Moscone Center Room 211, South Bldg.  Alongside NSF, federal representatives will present their latest funding opportunities and priorities, followed by time for Q&A.

With a fiscal year 2023 budget of $9.5 billion, NSF funds reach all 50 states through grants to nearly 2,000 colleges, universities and institutions. Each year, NSF receives more than 40,000 competitive proposals and makes about 11,000 new awards. Those awards include support for cooperative research with industry, Arctic and Antarctic research and operations, and U.S. participation in international scientific efforts.
