Building Up

Credits and Larger Images

During the NEESWood Benchmark test at the University at Buffalo on Nov. 14, 2006, a full-scale, wood-frame home was shaken to the motions of the 1994 Northridge earthquake. This video was captured from a camera located to the southeast of the structure. The building was built with all manner of real-world details, from flower boxes beneath the windows to stuffed animals on shelves in the children's room.
