Class of 2021–2022

Eleanor (Ellie) graduated from Wittenberg University with a bachelor's in biology and a minor in neuroscience and spent summers doing research at the University of Kentucky. After her undergraduate degree, she returned to her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. She continued her research at the University of Kentucky and volunteered at a local middle school before starting graduate school. Ellie attended the University of Kentucky to earn her Ph.D. in pharmacology with a dissertation on the effects of RNA quality on transcriptional profiling expression and the impact of progesterone on memory deficits associated with acute stress. During graduate school, she developed a love for policy work and began to advocate for graduate students at the university, state and federal levels. In her free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks and podcasts, going on walks and hanging out with friends.
