Jeffery A. Vieceli


Biography:

In October 2009, Mr. Vieceli became Head of the Systems Office, Division of Institution and Award Support, within the Foundation's Office of Budget, Finance, and Award Management (BFA). In this position, Mr. Vieceli has responsibility for the administration, oversight, and interpretation of business rules for assistance awards across NSF's corporate systems.  In supporting and maintaining the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Awards Management System, he provides project management oversight, user support, business process reengineering, and automated solutions for developing and strengthening NSF's electronic work environment. 

 

Mr. Vieceli joined NSF staff in October of 2001 as a Grants Technology Specialist within BFA's Division of Grants and Agreements. Here, he led efforts to automate and streamline data processing and to provide data analysis support for senior management. 



Prior to his NSF career, Mr. Vieceli served as a Senior Consultant, Public Sector, for Gartner, Inc., the largest research and consulting company dedicated solely to Information Technology. As Senior Consultant, Mr. Vieceli led projects for Government clients to assess and update their information technology infrastructure and accounting systems. Mr. Vieceli has also served as a Senior Consultant for the Government Finance Officers Association where he led projects for Government clients to replace aging information technology. Mr. Vieceli has had articles on information technology published in the Association's trade publication, Government Finance Review.    



Mr. Vieceli earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as an M.S. in Information Management from Marymount University.
