Kelly leads the outreach and communications efforts for the TIP Directorate. Since joining NSF in 2016, Kelly has spearheaded NSF’s efforts to improve visibility of NSF’s lab to market, small business, and translational research programs, leading the rebrand of America’s Seed Fund, and launching the seedfund.nsf.gov website. Prior to joining NSF, Kelly served as the lead public affairs specialist for the Peace Corps’ Office of Recruitment and Diversity, heading a team of 15 public affairs specialists nationwide, and managing a new application rollout and national marketing campaigns. Kelly started her career as a journalist for The Hill newspaper and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala. She holds an M.A. in Public Administration from George Mason University and a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from James Madison University.
