Biography:

Linda Blevins is a Senior Advisor in the Office of Integrative Activities within NSF’s Office of the Director.  She is the executive leader of knowledge management frameworks for NSF, where she serves as advisor to NSF senior leadership at the nexus of the agency’s operations, policies, programs, and information technology.  Dr. Blevins joined the NSF in December 2017 and served as Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of the Directorate for Engineering until February 2022.  During her four-year tenure, she partnered with two Assistant Directors (ADs) to lead the directorate through a period of growth.  For more than a decade prior to joining NSF, she was a Senior Technical Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Director for Science Programs in the DOE Office of Science, where she provided technical and policy advice on all aspects of science funding program management.  She previously served as an NSF Program Director; as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories; and as a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) research staff member. Her research expertise is in combustion.  She received a Ph.D. from Purdue University, an M.S. from Virginia Tech, and a B.S. from the University of Alabama, all in mechanical engineering.<<
