Employment status

About one in nine scientists and engineers ages 75 years and younger has a disability. The majority of scientists and engineers with disabilities are employed, although the proportion employed is smaller among those with disabilities than among those without disabilities. Consequently, those with disabilities are more likely than those without disabilities to be unemployed or not in the labor force.
