Fingerprint image quality through subsequent generations of genetic algorithm evolution.

The increasing quality of a fingerprint image after compression is shown through subsequent generations of genetic algorithm evolution. By generation 50, the quality of the image surpasses the quality of the same image compressed by the current world-standard program designed by humans.
