The crew of the B'Quest has worked with engineering students and professors from San Diego State University to develop equipment that will meet the specialized needs of the sailors. The video segment highlights this process and the motivations that underlie the collaboration.

While not ultimately used on the B'Quest, the students and professors at SDSU designed this crew-member retrieval system for use on the B'Quest and other sailing vessels.
