Kathleen Feldman

Dr. Kathleen Feldman

Division of Civil, Mechanical & Manufacturing Innovation
Class of 2013

Katie Feldman is the AAAS Science and Technology Policy fellow in the Division of Civil, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Innovation.  Her interests as a fellow include public-private partnerships, education, and the Materials Genome Initiative.  Prior to starting her fellowship she completed a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Delaware where she developed biofunctional conducting polymers for application in neural prosthetics.  Her PhD in the Materials department at the University of California, Santa Barbara focused on synthesis and structure-property relationships in strongly hydrogen bonded block copolymers.  She holds dual BS/BA degrees in Chemistry and History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
