For her work in understanding how to utilize string theory to solve previously unsolved problems in the theory of strong interactions (QCD). Her work will help future experiments at the Large Hadron Collider disentangle new physics from the predictions of the standard model. She has a strong commitment to education and outreach and novel ideas, including organizing a science Olympiad to involve High School students in science. She works with under represented groups, especially women, through the WISE mentoring program at Brown University.
