Template brain used to study aging and disease

This template brain is used in studies on the anatomical differences in brains related to aging and disease. The brain surface is shown as color-coded spheres. Pink represent areas of highest variability between the template and the target brain anatomy; blue map represents lower variability. The probabilities of finding variability at any point are also encoded within the picture, giving the bubble-like appearance.
