Harnessing the power of viruses to improve wastewater treatment
A bacteria which was infected by a lytic phage. The phage injected its DNA inside bacterial cell. The phage DNA utilized bacterial mechinery to multiply through several mechanisms. When the bacterial cell was unable to accommodate all phages inside it cell wall, the bacterial cell wall breaks (called bursting) and phages are released into the sorrounding environment to infect other but exactly similar bacteria.
