NSF ENG leadership changes
The U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Engineering (NSF ENG) welcomes new leadership as part of an agencywide reorganization.
NSF ENG is led by Directorate Head Don Millard (dmillard@nsf.gov) with deputy directorate heads Alexis Lewis (alewis@nsf.gov) and William Olbricht (wolbrich@nsf.gov). The three work closely with ENG section leaders to oversee the directorate's portfolio of engineering research and education.
As part of the NSF realignment, the four divisions within ENG were changed into four sections, shown here with their respective leadership:
- NSF Chemical, Biological, Environmental and Transport Systems Section: William Olbricht (wolbrich@nsf.gov) and Carole Read (cread@nsf.gov).
- NSF Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation Section: Alexis Lewis (alewis@nsf.gov) and Siddiq Qidwai (sqidwai@nsf.gov).
- NSF Electrical, Communications and Computing Systems Section: Anthony Maciejewski (amacieje@nsf.gov) and Richard Nash (rnash@nsf.gov).
- NSF Engineering Education and Centers Section: Eric Miller (elmiller@nsf.gov) and Kemi Ladeji-Osias (jladejio@nsf.gov).
The ENG Office of Emerging Frontiers and Multidisciplinary Activities will continue to be led by Sohi Rastegar (srastega@nsf.gov).
Together, the staff and leadership of ENG will continue to deliver on NSF's mission to advance the progress of science and enable a better quality of life, economic opportunities and stronger national security.
