Intro to the NSF Translation to Practice program

About the series

To accelerate the movement of research discoveries into practical use, the U.S. National Science Foundation is announcing the new NSF Translation to Practice (NSF TTP) program. This program supports use-inspired research and translational activities that connect foundational science with societal and market needs. The NSF TTP program empowers teams to build partnerships across academia, industry, government, and nonprofit sectors — advancing technology innovation, fostering economic growth, and preparing a skilled science, technology, engineering and mathematics workforce. TTP draws on the success of programs such as Partnerships for Innovation, NSF Innovation Corps, and others within the NSF Technology, Innovation and Partnerships Directorate, reinforcing NSF's commitment to ensuring that scientific breakthroughs lead to real-world impact. In this webinar, NSF program officers will introduce the TTP program and explain the goals, eligibility and procedures for proposal submission. The Zoom session will include a formal presentation followed by a moderated Q&A session.
