About the series
Have you heard about the NSF EPSCoR Graduate Fellowship Program (NSF EGFP)?
About EGFP
The EGFP supports graduate study at institutions of higher education in EPSCoR jurisdictions by providing fellowship funding for EGFP-eligible students pursuing research-based master’s and/or doctoral degree programs in NSF-supported disciplines. EGFP awards are made to institutions in EPSCoR jurisdictions to support selected NSF Graduate Research Fellowships Program (NSF GRFP) Honorable Mentions (HMs). Each fellowship provides three years of support, including an annual stipend of $37,000 per year per fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $16,000 per year.

Eligibility
EGFP is an exclusive opportunity for GRFP HMs. GRFP HMs are eligible to apply for up to three years following their selection as a GRFP HM. This means that if you received a GRFP HM in April 2023, you have until April 2026 to apply for EGFP via the NSF Education and Training Application (NSF ETAP) system.
Additional institution criteria for program acceptance and eligibility may apply.
How to apply
Find a list of current EGFP awardees and opportunities. This list is updated annually during the summer. We encourage you to reach out to participating institutions directly for more information about their particular opportunity and to apply to multiple opportunities as appropriate.
Applications must be submitted through the NSF ETAP system.
