Updates to NSF Research Security Policies

On July 10, 2025, NSF issued an Important Notice providing updates to the agency's research security policies, including a research security training requirement, Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program annual certification requirement, prohibition on Confucius institutes and an updated FFDR reporting and submission timeline.

2020 cohort: Delivering societal impact through quantum and AI-driven data and model sharing research

NSF's Convergence Accelerator has selected 29 research teams for phase 1 of its 2020 cohort to address two transformative research areas of national importance — quantum technology and artificial intelligence. NSF is investing more than $27 million to support the teams to develop the groundwork to ensure that technological advancements in Quantum Technology and AI-Driven Data and Model Sharing have a positive impact on society.
