NSF congratulates recipients of the prestigious National Medal of Science and National Medal of Technology and Innovation awards

Updates to NSF Research Security Policies

On July 10, 2025, NSF issued an Important Notice providing updates to the agency's research security policies, including a research security training requirement, Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program annual certification requirement, prohibition on Confucius institutes and an updated FFDR reporting and submission timeline.

President Joe Biden revealed the newest honorees of the recipients of the National Medal of Science and the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. The laureates were honored during a prestigious ceremony at the White House last Friday. Among this year's honorees are several distinguished individuals with ties to NSF, including Keivan Stassun, a current member of the National Science Board, a former member of NSF's Committee for Equal Opportunity in Science and Engineering, and a principal investigator for an NSF Research Traineeship project, who has been a leader in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM.
