Dear Colleague:

SUBJECT: Supplemental funding requests for current Industry University Cooperative Research Centers (I/UCRC)

The Industry/University Cooperative Research Centers (I/UCRCs) program will provide supplemental funding for fundamental research projects with a long term potential to be of future interest to industry. Each I/UCRC that currently has an active award may submit one research proposal for up to $150,000 for up to a three-year period subject to the availability of funds. The program intends to fund approximately 7 awards. Graduate students must be involved in the research. The potential for future industrial interest must be explained.

Requests for supplemental funding should be prepared in accordance with the Grant Proposal Guide (see https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/gpg/nsf04_23/5.jsp#VB4). The Program Element you should use is 5761. The program solicitation number of this Dear Colleague letter should be stated in the request.

Proposals must be submitted via FastLane (https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/fastlane.jsp) by 5:00 p.m. (submitter's local time) on April 30, 2005.
