Synopsis

Proposal submission Target Date:

·       The second Tuesday in January

·       January 12, 2027, for fiscal year 2027

·       Proposals submitted after the Target Date of the fiscal year may be considered for funding in the following fiscal year.

Supports research studies on the fundamental nature of matter, energy, space, and time, addressing questions about mass, forces, and the origins and evolution of the universe in the following areas: cosmic phenomena, underground physics and research support in the Arctic and Antarctica regions. It connects the smallest quantum phenomena with the largest cosmic structures to help investigate mysteries like dark matter, dark energy, and the early universe.
