Liles joins OPP Safety and Occupational Health team
Elicia Liles, a native of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, has joined OPP as a Safety and Occupational Health Manager. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2015 with a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, from Florida International University in 2006 with a Master of Public Health, and from Old Dominion University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health). She joined the United States Navy in 2001 and was commissioned as an Industrial Hygiene Officer in 2003. Her prior duty stations include Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER, Naval Hospital Guam, and the Naval Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit 2. Elicia has been assigned positions in industrial hygiene, emergency management, CBRN, safety, and public health. After nine years of active duty service, she was honorably discharged and transitioned to an instructor position at the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center.
Elicia spent seven years at the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center, where she was an instructor and course manager for various safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental courses. Her recent position was as a Director of Operations for a healthcare company that provided clinical and non-clinical services to over 60 hospitals nationwide.
Additionally, she is an adjunct instructor, specializing in industrial hygiene and public health. Elicia is a volunteer for the Smithsonian and the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps, volunteering in various community outreach projects and disaster training events.
