Update on the NSF OPP-Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program

The U.S. National Science Foundation has archived the NSF Office of Polar Programs (NSF OPP) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship program. The program will not accept proposals for 2025.  

NSF OPP will continue to support early-career researchers through solicitations like NSF 23-572: Arctic Research Opportunities and NSF 25-526: Antarctic Research Not Requiring U.S. Antarctic Program Field Support.  

Additionally, NSF invites early-career researchers to apply for grant opportunities across disciplines. The NSF Directorate for Geosciences also has resources for those seeking opportunities to apply for funds and searching for open positions.
