Walker joins OPP as Science Analyst


Ms. Beverly Walker has been hired in the position of Science Analyst at the NSF Office of Polar Programs. Ms. Walker earned a B.A. in Marine and Freshwater Sciences from Colgate University in 2009 and a Master of Science in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Vanderbilt University in 2011. Her work experience includes service under the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) from 2011 to 2017, first as a Senior Assistant Supervisor of Laboratory Operations and, later as a Supervisor of Laboratory Operations at McMurdo Station. Ms. Walker also gained valuable experience and made highly valuable contributions while she has served in the role of a Science Assistant in OPP over the past two years. Ms. Walker will perform a variety of duties in her new capacity, including furnishing support for the OPP Advisory Committee activities, overseeing elements of the OPP Distinguished Visitors program, and assisting with a variety of outreach and analysis efforts.
