NSF's Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Request reflects a strategic alignment of resources in a constrained fiscal environment while eliminating woke and weaponized grant programs that previously funded radical DEI projects. NSF is prioritizing investments that have the greatest potential to address the most critical, high-priority challenges and opportunities identified by the Administration, Congress, and the science and technology community.

FY 2027 Budget Request

FY 2024 Current Plan
NSF's FY 2024 enacted budget is $9.06 billion, a decrease of $479.01 million, or 5.0%, below the FY 2023 base appropriation.
