Butlr

Team: Butlr | Origin: California | Participation: NSF I-Corps Participant, 2020

Butlr fuses artificial intelligence with body heat sensing technology to build patented sensors and an anonymous people-sensing platform. Their sensors and data are used to ensure safer senior care communities, enable more productive and collaborative workplaces, create an engaging retail shopping experience, and foster greater connectedness among humans interacting in real life.

Using thermal insights, the company's technology accurately discerns activity, occupancy, indoor location and body posture. Their technology does not capture personally identifiable information and ensures patients' privacy. Butlr is used in senior care communities, higher education campuses, commercial real estate businesses and retail stores.
