On July 10, 2025, NSF issued an Important Notice providing updates to the agency's research security policies, including a research security training requirement, Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program annual certification requirement, prohibition on Confucius institutes and an updated FFDR reporting and submission timeline.

The goal of the IGE Innovation Acceleration Hub is to accelerate innovation in STEM graduate education by facilitating communications about research activities and outcomes among awardees of NSF IGE program and providing a robust platform for external stakeholder engagement. The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) is leading the charge in developing and maintaining the Hub that fosters learning and collaboration among IGE awardees and the broader STEM graduate education community.
