On July 10, 2025, NSF issued an Important Notice providing updates to the agency's research security policies, including a research security training requirement, Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program annual certification requirement, prohibition on Confucius institutes and an updated FFDR reporting and submission timeline.

Explore an interactive map featuring investments explicitly advancing place-based innovation made by NSF and the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA). The map features investments made through the NSF Engines and EDA's Build Back Better Regional Challenge (BBBRC) and Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs (Tech Hubs) programs.
