Update on the NSF P4CLIMATE solicitation

The U.S. National Science Foundation is archiving the NSF Paleo Perspectives on Present and Projected Climate (NSF P4CLIMATE) solicitation (NSF 22-612).

The NSF Directorate for Geosciences (NSF GEO) encourages you to continue to submit proposals for projects that use observational and modeling tools to provide paleo perspectives on Earth system history and long-term environmental variability. The following GEO units offer relevant programs:

  • NSF Division of Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences (AGS): Atmosphere Cluster (NSF AGS-AC) (Program Description 24-7790).
  • NSF Division of Earth Sciences (NSF EAR): Life and Environments Through Time (NSF LET) (NSF 25-517).
  • NSF Division of Ocean Sciences (NSF OCE): Marine Geology and Geophysics (NSF MG&G) (PD 17-1620).
  • NSF Arctic Research Opportunities (NSF 23-572) and NSF Antarctic Research Support (NSF 25-525 or NSF 25-526).

Programs will collaborate to facilitate joint review and funding among these and other programs across NSF GEO and NSF. For additional information, please reach out to the contacts listed on each program page.
