Icebreaker Polarstern and cutter Healy at North Pole
The German research icebreaker Polarstern (foreground) and the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Healy met at the North Pole in September 2015 to survey elements in the Arctic Ocean as part of the international GEOTRACES research program.
