About the NSF Public Access Repository (NSF-PAR)
The NSF Public Access Repository (NSF-PAR) provides mechanisms that enable NSF-funded investigators to meet the deposit requirement and to include the relevant information in their project reports.
For more information, see:
- About Public Access on Research.gov
- Public Access Getting Started Guide (PDF)
- Depositing Publications Tutorial
NSF-PAR also provides search mechanisms to enable the public to find and use these articles and papers.
- To explore scholarly publications in NSF-PAR, visit http://par.nsf.gov.
Research Community Members: If your organization receives an award based on a proposal submitted, or due, on or after January 25, 2016, the Public Access requirement applies. A new section providing information on NSF's Public Access Policy was added to the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), Part II, Award and Administration Guide (AAG), Chapter VI.D.2.c, Public Access to Copyrighted Material. See https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/policydocs/pappguide/nsf16001/aag_6.jsp . The policy also is referenced in Chapter VI.E.1 on publication and distribution of grant materials.
