Task Force on CMB Research (TFCR)

In May 2004 the NSF-NASA-DOE Astronomy and Astrophysics Advisory Committee (AAAC) and the NSF-DOE High Energy Physics Advisory Panel (HEPAP) established a Task Force on CMB Research (TFCR) as a joint subcommittee to advise NSF, NASA, and DOE on the future of research on the polarization of the cosmic microwave background (CMB). The TFCR was tasked to produce a report (see below) to provide the funding agencies with a clear picture of the connected, complementary experimental approaches to the exciting scientific questions about CMB polarization. A key element of this report will be a technology roadmap that can contribute to the agencies' long-range planning.

The TFCR Final Report as adopted by the AAAC and HEPAP Committees.
