Third NSF Community College Innovation Challenge rewards top entries
Judges recognize projects that slow antibiotic resistance and enhance STEM education

Using laboratory experiments, first place awardee, Del Mar College, Texas, demonstrated that their product, EnteroSword, could offer another solution to the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Here, team member Daniel Nasr Azadani, demonstrates how EnteroSword fights antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Just as real-world labs enable student learning, Red Rocks Community College demonstrated how cyber labs also can enable students to learn without the drawbacks of breaking a real-world production environment.
